Chapter
4—Giving up the misery of fear and regret
“I have found that fear for the future, a preoccupation
with it in thought, is not only unproductive, but is actually
counterproductive. Wisdom and practicality in our affairs is
to be commended, but that wisdom is more true and clear and
honest when we start from a basis of calm expectancy rather
than fear. Fearful thinking does not have clarity or reasonableness.
And mostly, it does not make room for miracles. God is All,
He is the Father and Mother of the universe, He is almighty,
and He is Love. There is ALWAYS a merciful and just solution.
Fear can’t see it, hear it, or know it. Salvation is as
big as God and as likely as sunrise. Be ready for it. Make the
present about calm excitement, a joyful anticipation, a sense
of being ready for a surprise. Every day, to God, is Christmas!
It is an occasion for divine Love to celebrate the fact that
we are BORN unto Him, that we are His children. Every day is
an occasion for the Great Father-Mother to BE a great Father-Mother.
A thought based in fear or regret, misses the miracle of now
and the promise of joy.” |
